Katelyn has always been passionate about caring for the underprivileged and utilizing the gifts God has provided, and in high school she became particularly interested in microfinance. Growing up in a family business and experiencing many impactful trips overseas both helped to develop a desire within her to make a greater difference in the world. Katelyn is specifically passionate about equipping and empowering the underprivileged to learn a skill and begin to provide for themselves and their families, while also understanding the gospel and their need for Christ.
Graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. in International Business, Katelyn came to the area after accepting a job with an investment firm in West Chester. Besides working full-time, Katelyn felt it was important to use her gifts and skills to serve those in need through a local organization, which is how she found Compassion Corps! Currently, she assists with the financial/operational aspects of the organization.
Katelyn and her husband, Brett, were married in the summer of 2014 and recently bought a home in the West Chester area. When not at work or serving at their church, you will find her keeping active, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. On summer weekends, you will likely find her at the beach and on cold winter days, snuggled in a quaint cafe drinking coffee. When not traveling, Katelyn is dreaming of and planning her next adventure! One of her most recent highlights was a trip to Bolivia, South America, where she accompanied her husband in leading a week long missions trip with 19 high school students from their local church.
